Abstract : Objective To observe the effect of povidone-iodine disinfectant solution combined with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in patients with stage II to III pressure ulcers. Methods After cleaning the wounds with 3% hydrogen peroxide and sterile saline, the observation group was treated with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) combined with sterile gauze soaked in povidone-iodine solution, and the control group was treated directly with polyvitamin-soaked povidone-iodine solution. Treat with sterile gauze wet compress using ketone-iodine solution, and evaluate the efficacy after 20 days. Results Comparing the efficacy of the two groups, the total effective rate of the observation group was 92%, and the total effective rate of the control group was 69%. The efficacy of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2=5.67, P<0.05). Conclusion The use of povidone-iodine disinfectant solution combined with Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) has significant efficacy in treating stage II to III pressure ulcers and is worthy of clinical promotion.
