Abstract : Objective: To observe the effect of Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) in the treatment of small and medium-sized second degree burn wounds. Methods: 120 cases of second-degree burns in small and medium areas were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 60 cases each. The observation group used Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment), and the control group used 1% silver sulfadiazine cream. The wound infection, wound healing time, wound pain and adverse reactions after dressing change were compared between the two groups. Results: There was no significant difference in the wound infection rate between the two groups 7 days and 14 days after superficial II treatment (P>0.05); there was no significant difference in the wound infection rate between the two groups 7 days after deep II treatment (P>0.05). , the 14-day wound infection rate of the observation group was very significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.01). The healing time of superficial II-degree and deep II-degree wounds in the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05). The visual analog scale (VAS) score of wound pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). No serious adverse reactions occurred in either group. Conclusion: Fonow ointment (Compound Polymyxin B Ointment, Triple Antibiotic Ointment) is more effective than 1% silver sulfadiazine cream in treating small and medium-sized second-degree burn wounds.
