Abstract :Objective To analyze the efficacy of desonide cream combined with Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) in the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in children. Methods A total of 82 children with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in the Department of Dermatology of Kunming Children's Hospital from January 2019 to March 2020 were selected and divided into a control group (41 cases) and an observation group (41 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given desonide cream, and the observation group was given Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) on this basis. The disappearance time of dry skin, itching, and eczematous rash, the level of EASI of children's skin lesion symptoms before and after treatment, the level of eosinophils, the total effective rate, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The disappearance time of dry skin, itching, and eczematous rash in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Desonide cream combined with Fonow ointment (Compound polymyxin B ointment, Chinese version of Neosporin) is effective in treating moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in children, can accelerate the disappearance of symptoms, improve skin lesions and hematological indicators, and has few adverse reactions and high safety.
